EMPLOYMENT CONSULTANT

 

Connect2Group is searching for a full time Employment Consultant for its rapidly growing Employment Division based at Cleveland. Travel to external locations is on a needs basis.

Position overview

The primary purpose of this position is to provide individualised support and assistance to people with disabilities so they obtain sustainable employment within an appropriate period. This position is responsible for preparation and training, marketing and placement of job seekers seeking employment assistance, and with the delivery of services and support to employers who employ jobseekers. The position involves recruitment and marketing, case management and training.

 

This is a position of significant responsibility involving direct accountability to jobseekers and their carers for the services provided. Work practices should facilitate a collaborative team approach amongst the staff of Connect2Group in general and the Employment Services Division in particular, and promote a positive image of the service and its stakeholders. It is expected that the role be performed in a manner consistent with the Brand and Policies of the Service.

Addressing the Selection Criteria:

To address the above, you need to demonstrate how you possess each competency by relating it to your experience, skills, knowledge and personal qualities. Use examples, if appropriate, and include any formal qualifications and industry experience. Use effective communication skills in a range of contexts. Describe and specify the experience you have or the things you do or have done which show your communication skills.

For example, describing the occasions of time dealing with individuals face to face etc.
